The Murano Maestro Story
Serendipity lies at core of Murano Maestro.
It was a sunny morning in the Arezzo market in Tuscany, Italy, when I met a charming man who repurposes Murano glass. As a designer I was looking for items for a recent project and when I was unable to find what I needed I decided to design them myself.
As they say in history, it was the beginning of a wonderful friendship (this time conducted over Google translator and primarily whatsup!)
As I polpulated my projects with new designs organically the business grew and friends and then friends of friends asked to buy existing designs, or for Murano Maestro to design bespoke pieces for them, something I have always loved.
With each order and each project we have developed in new directions. Murano Maestro works with modern day master's using ancient traditions which date back to the 13th century to create unique handblown items, whilst at the same time repurposing ancient Murano glass to create contemporary pieces with a nod to the elegance and craftsmanship of the maestros of Murano.
We now design drinking glasses, jugs and contemporary wall sconces.
Maestro Murano also creates bespoke pieces, such as large scale repurposed Murano glass chandeliers, and helps clients source antique pieces ranging from 80 year old Venetian glass door handles to beautiful iconic flower Murano ceiling lights.
There is also the option to customise the colour of the Murano glass to any colour you choose and for the lights to be as big or small as you desires.
The options are endless and we look forward to working together to create a masterpieces that are 100 per cent you.
